Our wage and salary structure is one of the most competitive within the construction industry. Advancement to positions of greater responsibility and increased pay are based on each individual's performance. Each employee's performance is periodically reviewed by his or her supervisor. We regularly review our overall pay structure, and make adjustments to reflect current market conditions.
Southwest Concrete Paving provides comprehensive medical and dental coverage to all employees and their families through a company-sponsored health plan. The company-sponsored medical plan includes coverage for child preventative care and immunizations, and annual physicals for employees and their spouses. The dental plan includes full coverage on preventative and diagnostic services. The health plan also includes a prescription drug plan, vision, Critical Illness, Long Term / Short Term Disability, and a death benefit policy. Employees are eligible after 3 months of consecutive employment.
All eligible employees may participate in the company-sponsored 401(k) plan after 3 months employment. This plan allows participants to invest pre-tax dollars for retirement.
A new employee becomes eligible to receive a profit sharing contribution after 1 year of employment. The employee must work 1,000 in that first year of employment. To receive a profit sharing contribution once an employee has met the eligibility requirement, the employee must be actively employed with the company on the last day of the plan year in which the profit sharing contribution is made.
Vacation / Holiday Accruals
Vacation and Holiday pay will begin accruing upon hire based on actual hours worked for regular full-time and seasonal employees.
